Turin Shroud

The Turin Shroud or Shroud of Turin, is believed to be the burial shroud that was wrapped around Jesus Chris following the crucification. It shows the imprint of a man who appears to have been crucified.

Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince caused controversy when in their book the Turin Shroud they claimed it was a fake produced by Leonardo da Vinci and showed how it could be done.

Virtually at the same time as Picknett and Prince made their astounding claim, another researcher, independent and unbeknown to them, came to the same conclusion.

There are though problems with this claim.

Although claimed to be the face of Leonardo, the face on the shroud looks nothing like Leonardo, carbon dating places the shroud at least a century before Leonardo allegedly faked it, historical evidence shows the existence of the shroud at least a century before Leonardo allegedly faked it.
